Our Mission
We are a non-profit organization who supports the Hanover area and surrounding communities as well as many local and state charities. We are a club of almost 80 We are writing you this letter on behalf of the Hanover Ravens Roost #32. We strong who have been in existence for over 30 years to date. We originally started as the Hanover Colts Corral who supported Baltimore Colts football until they left for Indianapolis in 1983. The group stayed intact, but fell to less than 10 members at one point. In 1996, when football came back to Baltimore from Cleveland in the form of the Ravens the membership increased to a respectable number. We hold regular meetings at the Hanover Bowling Centre/Bair’s Den on Broadway in Hanover the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
One of our annual events is the sponsoring of the City Cup in which the high school football programs from the surrounding area (New Oxford, Hanover, Delone, Spring Grove, Littlestown and South Western) compete for the chance to obtain the City Cup for their school. This is presented at the Hanover Rotary Sports night in January each year. They select a male and female scholar athlete each year that night and the Hanover Ravens Roost gives each of them a monetary scholarship towards their college tuition costs. If you’ve gone to an area high school football game you’ve probably seen our sponsor’s ad in each of the fore mentioned school’s programs.
We try to have at least one “major” fundraiser a year to help keep our funds up in order to continue supporting the charities and organizations we’ve supported in the past. We were very happy with how things went this past year All the profits we make go back to the community and our charitable organizations. Some people think we use the money for tailgating, game tickets, or other events we enjoy as members of the Roost, but this is not the case.
Here is a list of some of the charities/organizations we’ve supported in the 2008 calendar year.
▪ Kammie’s Jammie’s
▪ Delone Catholic High School
▪ South Western Varsity Club
▪ Division One City Cup Scholarships
▪ Athletes of the Year

▪ Feed A Friend
